CPN-UML withdraws no-confidence motion filed against Bagmati Province CM Poudel

KATHMANDU, March 31: A no-confidence motion filed earlier against the Chief Minister (CM) of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel, has been withdrawn by the lawmakers of the CPN-UML.

KATHMANDU, March 31: A no-confidence motion filed earlier against the Chief Minister (CM) of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel, has been withdrawn by the lawmakers of the CPN-UML.


The no-confidence motion was filed against CM Poudel following the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in December last year.

A group of 45 provincial assembly members close to the erstwhile Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party led by Shalik Ram Jamakattel had filed the no-confidence motion against CM Poudel at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat in Hetauda.


Earlier, the CPN-UML had asked its lawmakers to withdraw the no-confidence motions filed against the chief ministers representing their own party.


The party had also withdrawn  a no-confidence motion filed against the Chief Minister of Province 1, Sher Dhan Rai.
