KATHMANDU, April 26: A no-confidence motion has been filed against Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung.
Chief Whip of Nepali Congress (NC) in Gandaki Province Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel tabled the motion in the Provincial Assembly shortly after its began on Monday.

The no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Gurung was filed jointly by the NC, Janata Samajbadi Party, and CPN (Maoist Center). A total of 28 Provincial Assembly members have signed in the motion.
There are a total of 61 members in the Gandaki Provincial Assembly. The no-confidence motion filed against Chief Minister Gurung is likely to be endorsed as three Provincial Assembly members belonging to the Rashtriya Janamorcha Party have agreed to vote against Chief Minister Gurung.
The discussion on the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Gurung is currently underway in the Provincial Assembly meeting.
