KATHMANDU, Jan 8: CPN Maoist chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has tested COVID-19 positive along with senior leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
According to Dahal's private secretary Sriram Dhakal, Chairman Dahal tested positive for COVID-19 through a PCR test on Friday evening. Chairman Dahal and Leader Shrestha are in isolation at their respective residences.

The secretariat has also requested everyone who had come in contact with the leaders, to test for COVID-19 virus and stay in isolation
Likewise, the central committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) was also postponed for January 22 after some staffers working in the party's central office and some party leaders contracted COVID-19.
