KATHMANDU, March 28: Nepal is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system combined with local winds, bringing cloudy skies across much of the country. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) reports that some areas in Gandaki and Bagmati provinces, as well as parts of the hilly and Himalayan regions, are already experiencing rainfall.

This afternoon, clouds are expected over Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. The DHM has warned of a possibility of moderate rain or snow, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in scattered locations across other hilly and Himalayan areas.
Tonight, most hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the Himalayan areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, will remain mostly cloudy, while other regions will be partly cloudy. Light rain or snowfall may occur in one or two spots in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki, and in the Himalayan region of Bagmati.
