KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Nepal is currently influenced by Monsoon air as well as a low pressure system built around Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh in India. There is partial to moderate rain in many places of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, light to moderate rain in a few places of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, according to the Department of hydrology and Meteorology of Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Similarly, there is a chance of light to moderate rain in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places of Madhesh province this afternoon. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while there is a possibility of very heavy rain in one or two places of Gandaki province tonight, the officials of the MFD said.
As the water level of the river rises, floods, landslides, landslides, soil erosion and wind storms may occur due to heavy rainfall, the officials of MFD have requested everyone to take necessary precautions to avoid inconvenience, human casualties, risk or damage to agriculture, daily life, road and air transport.
