KATHMANDU, Aug 19: As the monsoon low pressure line is near the northern part of the country, light to moderate rain is likely across the country today. There is a partial to normal change in the hilly areas including Madhesh and partial change in the rest of the places this morning.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), there is light rain in a few places of Gandaki province and one or two places in the rest of the province.
Chances of rain with thunder today
There will be partly to normal showers across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is likely at some places in the hilly areas of the country and few places in the rest of the country.
Officials at MFD said that there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and few places in the remaining provinces.
