CIAA files corruption case against former PADT member secretary Dhakal

KATHMANDU, June 26: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Pradeep Dhakal, a former member secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), on the charge of illegal wealth acquisition.

KATHMANDU, June 26: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Pradeep Dhakal, a former member secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), on the charge of illegal wealth acquisition.


CIAA Spokesperson Bhola Dahal announced that the corruption case against Dhakal was lodged at the Special Court on Monday.

According to the CIAA, Dhakal is accused of acquiring assets worth Rs 14.4 million from undisclosed sources. He served as the member secretary of PADT from August 16, 2017, to June 13, 2022. The CIAA has conducted an investigation into the property acquired by Dhakal during this period.
