The anti-graft body filed case against Rai on Monday, on the charge of abuse of authority while allotting scholarship at the HSEB in the fiscal year 2011 and 2012. [break]
“The CIAA has found that Rai did not follow even the Scholarships Directives 2010,” reads a statement issued by the CIAA Monday evening adding, “Rai was even found to have assigned the peons and security guards of his office to check the papers, which is sheer violation of existing HSEB rules and regulations.”
The CIAA’s recent investigation has pointed out that Rai used to manipulate the marks of candidates who had been applying for the scholarships.
