KATHMANDU, Nov 28: A police sub-inspector working in Bardiya has been detained by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse Of Authority (CIAA) for investigation.
Police Sub-inspector Pawan Saud, who is working at the Area Police Office in Bardiya Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-6, Mainapokhar, has been accused of seeking bribes for facilitating the settlement of drug cases.

The CIAA's team arrested Saud based on information that he was asking for a bribe from the service seekers.
"Police Sub Inspector Saud has been detained with Rs 30,000 received from a service-seeker, and further investigation is underway," according to a statement issued by the CIAA.
