LUMBI(NI, March 28: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested a police sub-inspector (SI) in Rupandehi with a bribe of Rs 30,000.
The CIAA team apprehended Khim Bahadur Khadka, a sub-inspector stationed at the Haatibangai (Durgolia) police outpost in Rupandehi, after he accepted the bribe. On Thursday afternoon, Khadka took the money in exchange for facilitating customs evasion and smuggling activities. Binita Bhattarai, the chief of the CIAA’s Butwal office, confirmed the arrest.
CIAA arrests engineer for allegedly soliciting bribe

Bhattarai stated that CIAA officers caught Khadka with the bribe money in Makrichok, Mayadevi Rural Municipality-6, in the Murchwar area of Rupandehi. The CIAA is continuing its investigation and will take necessary action regarding the bribery case. Khadka serves as the head of the Haatibangai (Durgolia) police outpost.
