GORKHA, July 1: Officer Ramchandra KC of Gorkha District Court has been found taking a bribe. On Thursday night he was found taking a bribe from a client at a hotel near the court. A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) from its Pokhara Office arrested him.
The CIAA has claimed that the alleged court official had taken Rs 25,000 in a bribe. After completing the formalities, he was taken to Pokhara yesterday night. The CIAA has claimed that KC took a bribe from a client assuring him to “resolve” a case pending at the court for a long time.
Police constable arrested with bribe
KC was arrested based on a tip-off from a client. He also served as the assistant election officer in the office of chief election officer during the recently-held local elections. He has also been accused of creating difficulties for and harassing clients several times in the past.
