KATHMANDU, Dec 30: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Dhaneshwar Prasai, an official of the National Personnel Records, with a bribe of Rs 300,000.
Based on the information that Prasai was demanding a bribe from a service recipient to issue a pension certificate, a team from the CIAA's Tangal office arrested him.

On Sunday, a team from the CIAA reached Prasai's office and took him into custody along with Rs 300,000 he had already taken from the service recipient, said the CIAA Spokesperson Narahari Ghimire.
The CIAA has launched further investigation into this incident.
