KATHMANDU, July 11: A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested the chairman of the school management committee and the principal with a bribe money of Rs 16,000 in Kageshwori-Manohara Municipality of Kathmandu.
CIAA team arrested Rajkumar Thapa, the chairman of the school management committee of Siddhi Ganesh Secondary School located in Kageshwori-Manohara Municipality-1 Gagalphedi, and Principal Buddhi Bilas Dhital, while accepting the bribe.
School principal accused of embezzling Rs 1.1 million
According to Devi Prasad Thapalia, assistant spokesperson of CIAA, while taking bribes from the teachers during the teacher selection, the chairman and the principal were arrested from the Gorakhkali Multishop at Gagalphedi Bus Park.
Assistant Spokesperson Thaplia said that further investigation into the matter is underway.
