KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Tokha, renowned for its Chaku (traditional molasses candy), is currently filled with its aromatic sweetness. Chaku producers are busy making and distributing their products. All the Chaku factories in the area are operating from 4 am to 10 pm, focused on production.
Currently, Chaku production and distribution are concentrated in wards 2 and 3 of Tokha Municipality, which also includes Tokha's old market area. Chaku produced in Tokha is sold not only in the Kathmandu Valley's markets such as Ason, Indra Chowk, Bhaktapur, Patan, and Kirtipur but also in cities outside the valley like Narayanghat, Pokhara, Butwal, and Biratnagar.
