BUSINESS BRIEFS: Dove announces new faces of 2070

KATHMANDU, April 24: Dove has announced the 12 faces for 2070 for its campaign -- Discover Real Beauty. According to a press statement issued by the company, the 12 faces were chosen from among 400 women participants who sent their photographs. These 12 women who Dove believes embody the spirit of Dove -- confident, happy and self-assured -- come from all facets of Nepalese society and will be featured in Dove´s 2070 calendar, said the statement.



The 12 women featured in Dove´s 2070 calendar are Aparajita Rana Ghimire (teacher), Palpasa Tuladhar (marketing officer), Ranjana Thapa (human rights activist), Niva Shakya (social worker), Rejina Giri (physiotherapist), Sadiksha Thapa (management student), Yudina Poudel (marketing officer), Pooja Lama (psychology student), Yojana Thapa (law student), Stuti Wagle (dentist), Shristi Singh (management consultant), and Kripa Poudel (banker), according to the statement. "The campaign received an overwhelming response, which clearly shows the appeal Dove and its idea of Real Beauty, has amongst women across Nepal. In the coming years we hope to make it even bigger and better,” Shamim Zaman, marketing manager of Unilever Nepal, said in the statement.



Ebisu Jewellery expo begins

KATHMANDU
: Ebisu Jewellery is organizing ´Jewellery Exhibition cum Sale´ to market its 24th anniversary. According to a company statement, the exhibition which started on Wednesday will continue at its showroom in Durbar Marg till Sunday. "The newly introduced exquisite diamond and gold jewelry will be exhibited during the expo," said the statement. The store is providing discount up to 24 percent on diamond jewelry and up to 10 percent discount on labor charge on gold jewelry.



NIC Foundation turns good samaritan

KATHMANDU
: NIC Foundation, a charity wing of NIC Bank, has provided financial support worth Rs 270,000 to children from lower socio economic community below 14 who are undergoing treatment at Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital. Sashin Joshi, CEO of NIC Bank handed over the amount to Dr Saju Pradhan, medical director of Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital. As per agreement between NIC Foundation and Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital, children with club foot were treated by Nepal Orthopaedic hospital where all thee expenses were borne by NIC Foundation, the bank said in a press statement. NIC Foundation is a charity organization established by NIC Bank to work with the community. Its major focus is the areas in health and education.



Color Plus Cosmetics turns 5

KATHMANDU
: Color Plus Cosmetics, a multibrand cosmetic showroom at Peoples Plaza, has announced special offer on the occasion of its fourth anniversary. The store with separate pavilion for different brands is providing up to 11.99 percent discount on various brands. "Customers buying products at the store will get an opportunity to have a free photo shoot at Photo Point at Kesha Plaza and free makeup by professional beautician which includes day, night and party make up," the company said in a statement. The offer will continue May 3.
