The Mathematics Club of Budhanilkantha School, in cooperation with the Mathematics Department is organizing Budhanilkantha Math League, 2018 from November 17 to 18 on the school premises.                         

The Math League is a nationwide competition based on the format of International Mathematics Competition (IMC). It is going to be held for the first time in Nepal, said the organizers. 


The main objective of the league is to create a strong platform for mathematics enthusiasts pursuing their +2, A-levels, CBSE or IB Diploma at the international standard in Nepal.

The two-day-long seminar consists of three different contests: Team Contest, Individual Contest and Treasure Hunt. Each group comprises of four members. Students will form groups to find solutions to problems through the sharing of their intellect and skills. There will also be an individual contest in which the students shall apply their mathematical knowledge into solving problems. In treasure hunt, fun filled activities are also planned to create a ‘fun with learning experience’ for the participants.


A total of 10 different schools from the valley and 30 schools from outside the valley are taking part in the contest. The entry fee is Rs 5,000. The fee is inclusive of lodging and food (for schools outside the valley) and only food (for schools within the valley).
