KATHMANDU, Dec 16: A Buddha Air aircraft has made an emergency landing at Bharatpur. Shortly after taking off from Bharatpur, it landed at Bharatpur again due to a mechanical fault.
According to Deepak BK, Information Officer, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Bharatpur, the plane landed in Bharatpur immediately after the captain said that there was a technical problem as soon as it took off at 1:16 PM. After the aircraft landed, all the passengers got out safely. He said that other reasons are being sought.

There were 18 passengers and crew members on board. Superintendent of Police and chief of the District Police Office, Chitwan, Om Prakash Adhikari said that all the passengers and crew were safe. A fire brigade was kept on standby saying that there could be any problem. At the same time, flights from Bharatpur have been affected.
