UK university honors Nepali scientist Pun

KATHMANDU, April 8: Founder of the National Innovation Center and Nepali scientist, Dr Mahabir Pun Magar has been honored by the University of Central Lancashire of the UK.

KATHMANDU, April 8: Founder of the National Innovation Center and Nepali scientist, Dr Mahabir Pun Magar has been honored by the University of Central Lancashire of the UK. 


At a program organized by Biz Education in the UK, Pun was honored in recognition of his contribution to research, studies and innovation. An interaction program was also held virtually on the occasion.

The sexagenarian scientist showed his works through video to the audiences participating in the honoring event. He shared that the Innovation Center set up with the support of the people of Nepal and their foreign friends was working in over 20 sectors such as drone, biomedical, agriculture, education and health.


Earlier, he was known for his work in applying wireless technologies in rural areas in the hilly region. 


Present in the event were Nepal Education Council UK's office-bearers Basanta Nepal, Ganesh Khadka and Krishna Khanal, among others.
