Bridge in Gorkha connecting Barpak left severely damaged

GORKHA, July 3: A concrete bridge in Gorkha district, connecting Barpak and Baluwa of Ajirkot Rural Municipality-4 over the Daraundi River has been severely damaged.

GORKHA, July 3: A concrete bridge in Gorkha district, connecting Barpak and Baluwa of Ajirkot Rural Municipality-4 over the Daraundi River has been severely damaged. 


According to Prakash Dahal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, traffic has come to a stop following the collapse of the bridge at the Baluwa side due to increasing water levels in the Daraundi River. The continuous rainfall and floods have put the bridge at the risk of being swept away.

The bridge was used by locals from Barpak and Larpak to cross the river.
