The counting of votes of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is currently underway.
There are a total of 56 mayoral candidates in Kathmandu Metropolitan City including Keshav Sthapit of UML, Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress from the ruling alliance, Balendra Shah (Independent candidate) and Samiksha Baskota from Bibeksheel Sajha.

As per the preliminary results of the vote counting, Shah is leading the polls with 480 votes, followed by Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Sirjana Singh with 280 votes. Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Sthapit has received 200 votes so far.
