MYAGDI, August 2: The bodies of three more people who were missing in a landslide have been found in Tameng village of Rum, Malika Rural Municipality-2, Myagdi. With this, the death toll in the landslide has reached five. The deceased belong to the same family. Two people were injured in the landslide.
MYAGDI, May 11: Voters who have their names on the voters’ list but do not have their voter ID cards will be able to cast their votes in the local level election going to be held on May 13. Arrangements have been made for them to cast their votes by showing the certificate of Nepali citizenship that matches with the voters list in case the voter’s ID is lost.

Hom Bahadur Thapa has become a candidate from RPP as he did not get a ticket for the post of Rural Municipality chairperson/ deputy chairperson from the UML.
MYAGDI, March 17: Two girls have gone missing from Benibazar, the district headquarters of Myagdi since Wednesday evening. According to the family, Priyanka Kumari Shah, 15. and Susma Kumari Shah, 13, of Indian origin, who were living with their family in Kalipul Bus Park, have gone missing.
MYAGDI, March 15: With the start of the spring climbing season, as many as 13 foreigners along with their expedition teams have arrived in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 of Mudi to reach the summit of Mt Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters).
MYAGDI, Feb 7: The excavation work of the tunnel of Darwang Myagdi Khola Hydropower Project, which is under-construction in Darbang, Malika Rural Municipality-6 of western Myagdi, has started. The excavation work of Audit No. 1 tunnel has been started for building the 25 MW project. According to the project, the excavation of the auxiliary tunnel to the main tunnel has been started using explosives under the supervision and management of the Nepali Army.
MYAGDI, Dec 14: Hotels in Annapurna Rural Municipality-6, Ghorepani, a major tourist destination of Myagdi district, will be opened from December 16. Businesses are preparing to operate hotels and restaurants that have been closed for nine months due to possible risk of the spread of Covid-19.
MYAGDI, Nov 30: Anushka Bhattachan, a sixth grader at Beni Secondary School, met her friends Asima KC and Roshna Chhahari for the first time in nine months. She was elated to have seen her classmates whom she could not meet due to the ongoing restrictions imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
