MYAGDI, Aug 31: The testing of structure and equipment of Ghalemdi River Hydropower project located at Narchyang of Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 in north Myagdi has completed. After three successful testing, the project of 5 MW capacity is ready to generate electricity.
MYAGDI, May 15: With the goal of creating a new world record, Nirmal Purja has set out on a journey to climb all 14 mountains above 8000 meters, within a time span of just seven months. According to informed sources, Purja succeeded in climbing Mt Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), the seventh highest peak, in Myagdi’s Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 from the southern side without supplemental oxygen on Sunday.

She has been diagnosed with health problems including high blood sugar and high blood pressure.
MYAGDI, Sept 15: The obstructions at Beni-Jomsom road section has further aggravated due to consistent rainfall. The rugged stretch of 76-kilometer road does not have a functioning bridge anymore. While the only bridge in the road is on the verge of collapse, the entire road itself looks worn out.
MYAGDI, Aug 16: Consistent rain has severely damaged the Beni-Jomsom road making it impossible for vehicles to ply. The road, which was already in a dilapidated condition, was further hit by monsoon, locals lament. Apart from the locals, businesspersons and tourists have been equally affected by its closure.

business is going down as tourists have started using road transports instead of trekking. It has affected tourism entrepreneurs on the one hand, and on the other, trekkers who would enjoy the natural beauty and culture and tradition of people along the way in the Annapurna circuit trekking route, have been deprived of the opportunity.
The Nepali months of Chaitra and Baishakh (mid-March to mid-May) are known as the season to gather honey in rural part of Nepal. It’s almost the end of the season for the honey hunters this year. Locals along with commercial honey collectors are busy gathering honey in the villages. It is believed that honey from higher altitude is good for health as it has medicinal qualities in it.
MYAGDI, May 13: When a seven years old from Mangala-3 attempted suicide, his family rescued him in a critical stage. After the young one was found hanging in his house, he was immediately rushed to Pokhara for treatment. The reason behind his suicide attempt is yet to be ascertained. Although the child has returned home safely, his parents are preoccupied with the feeling that he may attempt this again.
There is good news for people who want to visit Annapurna Base Camp, as a new trekking route has been established from Narchyang of Myagdi district to the base camp. The new route runs along the bank of Nilgiri River and takes almost three days to reach the base camp. Tourism entrepreneurs have said that this is a safe trekking route and they are expecting to attract more tourists by using this route.
