KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The Nepal Calendar Determination Committee has announced that the auspicious time for Bijaya Dashami is on October 12 at 11:36 AM. The committee's chairman, Shri Krishna Adhikari, said that the time for Devi Bisarjan (immersion of the goddess) on that day is at 8:33 AM.

He mentioned that while receiving the Bijaya Dashami offerings, one should sit facing east. This year's Nawaratri, or Dashain, will begin on October 3, Thursday. The committee has said that the auspicious time for Ghatasthapana is at 9:16 AM that day. Additionally, on October 4, Friday, the time for raising the flag (facing west) is at 9:14 AM. The Pachali Bhairab Yatra will be on October 8, Tuesday. The Phulpati and Shri Tulaja Bhawani Yatra will take place on October 10, Thursday, at 7:11 AM, with the Sthirasana ritual scheduled for 8:43 AM.

Similarly, committee member and religious scholar Dr Devmani Bhattarai mentioned that Akhilbalipūrti (offerings to all deities) should be performed on October 16, Wednesday. With the celebration of Kojagrat Purnima on the same day, this year's Dashain festival will conclude.
