A sharpshooter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly made an attempt to assassinate Salman Khan on Friday, according to Indian media reports. Filmfare reported that a sharpshooter arrived outside Khan's home and attempted to kill him, but returned at the last minute.
Similarly, the Times Network report said that Lawrence Bishnoi, a suspect in the Moose murder case, had sent a sharpshooter with a small bore weapon hidden in a modified hockey casing to kill Salman Khan. The sharpshooter was ordered to kill him outside the actor's home, but he retreated at the last minute.

According to Mumbai Police, a letter threatening to kill Salman Khan was sent by Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Salman Khan and his father, producer Salim Khan, had recently received a threatening letter. Mumbai police had launched an investigation and the security of the Bollywood star was beefed up following the threats. New details have now emerged from the investigation.
According to the Times of India, Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble, a member of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, is suspected to have sent threats to Salman Khan and Salim Khan. The accused told police that another Bishnoi, Vikram Barad, had sent a letter to Salim Khan.
On Thursday, police revealed that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had issued a letter to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan. Three members of his gang arrived in Mumbai from Jalore, Rajasthan and met accused Saurabh Mahakal to drop the letter.
Police have said that six teams have been mobilized to arrest the accused soon. According to earlier reports, Salman Khan and Salim Khan were warned to face the same fate as the brutally murdered Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala. It was left on a bench in the bandstand where Salim Khan was jogging in the morning.
Concerns over Salman Khan's safety have increased in Punjab after the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. Salman was on Lawrence Bishnoi's radar after the black deer poaching incident. Lawrence Bishnoi's gang claimed responsibility for Moose Wala's murder. Eight people have been arrested so far in the incident.
