KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Nepal Students Union (NSU), a sister organization of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), has staged a protest in Kathmandu demanding an impartial investigation into the death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal, who was studying at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India.
Students affiliated to NSU from Public Youth Campus (PYC) staged a protest demanding justice for Lamsal, a 20-year student from Butwal.

The agitating students staged a protest holding placards with slogans such as ‘Stop attack against Nepali students’, ‘Justice for Prakriti Lamsal’. The situation in KIIT University has remained tense since Monday following the mysterious death of Nepali student Lamsal.
