KATHMANDU, March 27:  A compound wall of Agriculture Research Council (ARC) building has caved in after being hit by a vehicle belonging to Ministry of Agriculture Development in Khumaltar, Lalitpur on Monday.


Ramsharan Baniya, is the driver of the government vehicle, Ba 2 Jha 2133. "The vehicle hit the wall after the driver could not control over the wheels of the vehicle due to over speed," Inspector Sitaram Hachhetu, chief of Traffic Police Office, Lalitpur, told Republica Online.

 The government vehicle has hit the wall on the day of Godejatra which is a public holiday. A senior government official was also traveling in the vehicle.


According to  Hachhetu, the vehicle hit the wall while swerving a motorcycle. 


The front left part of the vehicle has been badly damaged.


Police said they are investigating the case after taking the driver and the vehicle under control.
