KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Association of Former Career Ambassadors of Nepal (AFCAN) has held a webinar on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on migrant Nepali workers.


The webinar chaired by AFCAN Chairman Ram Bhakta PB Thakur dwelt on various problems faced by Nepali migrant workers during the pandemic in various parts of the world including the Gulf.

On the occasion, Nepali ambassadors to Israel, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia shared various problems faced by Nepali migrant workers in their respective host countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.


The participants suggested the government come up with concrete measures to resolve problems faced by Nepali migrant workers saying that the current efforts are inadequate.


Former Nepali ambassadors, labor experts, officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were among those present during the webinar held on Saturday.
