KATHMANDU, May 26: Police have arrested the then principal Raj Kumar Khadka on charges of raping a Grade IX of Blooming Lotus English School in Itahari five years ago. He was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
The accused Khadka is said to have taken the victim to a hotel instead of a hospital when she was diagnosed with chest problem and raped her at the hotel. The victim had revealed that he went on to rape her for two consecutive years by threatening to release her private video and expel her from the school.
Teacher arrested on charge of raping student
Despite the student's complaint to the police, Khadka was not arrested but simply placed on the list of fugitives. Khadka was finally arrested after the victim made her incident public on social media.
