‘Aadha Love’: Debut production of Richa Sharma

KATHMANDU, June 6: Actress Richa Sharma is now introducing herself as producer in Nepali movie industry. As a producer, her debut film ‘Aadha Love’ is releasing this Friday.

KATHMANDU, June 6: Actress Richa Sharma is now introducing herself as producer in Nepali movie industry. As a producer, her debut film ‘Aadha Love’ is releasing this Friday.


Richa started her career as an actress nearly seven years ago with ‘First Love’ in Nepali film. Now she is all set to establish herself as a producer from movie ‘Aadha Love’.


“I am starting my next part of career as a producer through ‘Aadha Love’ after long journey of acting. They are part of movie industry but they have their own limitations and circumstances”, said Richa. She was involved actively in producing the film since one year.


“This film represents story of five different families. This film is on social issues story”, she added.

She is not only the producer of ‘Aadha Love’; she herself is featured in strong role in the film.


“We chose the artists as per the demand of the script. My role in the film is of a housewife. I had worked out for the role to give my cent percent” she said.


Richa is playing the role of a mother in the film, which is directed by actor Arpan Thapa. She had already been featured as a mother in the movies like ‘Ko Aafno’, ‘ Bato Muni Ko Phool’ and ‘Junge’.


“Since long I was thinking of producing the film. Director Arpan approached me with new script. It was interesting story based on the social issues of Nepal and we decided to move ahead.”


The film is produced under the banner of Richa Sharma Films. “We will be working with new script as soon as this film is released”, she informed. She said that she is not taking any decisions on directing the films.


“I was very nervous with my first film. I am still correcting my weaknesses. I have not played any repeated roles. I believe this film will impress the audiences”, she said. Her films include ‘Uma’, ‘Loot’, ‘Mero Love Story’, ‘ Talak Jung vs Tulke’ among others.


In another context, she accepted that she has been very close with actor Arpan Thapa during the making of the movie but however she denied any relationship with him.


“We have become very good friend during the project. We meet various people while working. However, we cannot tag any on as couple”, she said.


She said that personal life and professional life should be kept a part.


The film is features Sharma herself, Arpan Thapa, Basanta Bhatta, Raymon Das Shrestha, Tika Pahari, Mithila Sharma, Rojisha Shahi and Bipin Mikki Gurung in leading roles. Sisan Baniya is the cinematographer where as Tsujil Karmacharya has composed the music of the film and Nimesh Shrestha is the editor.
