KATHMANDU, June 2: The 48th meeting of the Consultative Committee of Colombo Plan concluded at Ulaanbaatar of Mongolia on Saturday.
National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha led the Nepali delegation and informed the meeting that Nepal has provided scholarship to a foreign student to study International Relations and Diplomacy at Tribhuvan University.
15th meeting of Nepal-India consultative group concludes
On the occasion, Dr Shrestha made commitments to provide more scholarship quotas to study Nepali language, culture, Buddhist philosophy and other subjects in the future on behalf of the Nepal government.
On the occasion, Dr Shrestha chaired the group meeting of the South Asia and Southwest Asia Sub-Region.
The meeting reviewed the programs run under the Colombo Plan and also approved the annual report, Vice Chairman Shrestha's Secretariat stated.
Established in 1951, there are 28 countries including Nepal in the Colombo Plan and the secretariat of the institution is in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
