This week on Top Spin, we have songs that’ll make you want to take your dancing shoes out for sure. So here we go! [break]
Wisin & Yandel, featuring Jennifer Lopez – Follow the Leader
Wisin & Yandel, a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consists of Juan Luis Morera Luna (Wisin) and Llandel Veguilla Malavé (Yandel). They started their career in 1998 and have been together since, winning several awards during that time, and now they’ve featured Jennifer Lopez in their brand-new offering titled “Follow the Leader.” Will definitely make you want to dance! Nothing electronic, just plain dance music, and that’s the best part!

Sean Kingston, featuring T.I. – Back 2 Life (Live It Up)
It’s been sometime since Sean Kingston was out with a new single and here he’s featuring the master of mixes, T.I. The single is his first return to the music scene after his near-death ski-jet accident last year. “Back 2 Life (Live It Up) is his first release from his upcoming third album.
His mentor and label boss Jonathan “JR” Rotem flips a sample from Soul II Soul’s classic “Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)” as Kingston expresses his determination to make the most of his own. Definitely worth listening to!
Jennifer Lopez, featuring Flo Rida – Goin In
J to the LO has been in a row since her divorce from Marc Antony. Perhaps it’s true that you need to be hurt to work the best. Lopez has tied up with rapper Flo Rida this time. And this song is also the soundtrack of the soon-to-be-released Step Up 4. Now, if the song belongs to a movie dedicated to dancing, you can imagine the beats already. We would say: Dance away!
Kylie Minogue – Time Bomb
Australian bombshell Kylie Minogue has 11 studio albums, countless singles and different styles of music up her sleeves already and she’s celebrating 25 years in the biz this year. Her fresh track “Time Bomb” is a rocking one and the music only makes it better. It’s time-ticking faster with the track and dancing is the only option.
Boyce Avenue – Find Me
Give it a break and listen to some soulful music. Boyce Avenue is a familiar name among those Internet users who love checking out covers of popular songs. After all, the Florida band is part of the new wave of artists who have used the Internet, rather than extensive touring, to get their music out to the people.
The trio is popular for their radio-friendly alt-Rock music videos on YouTube. But now from their sophomore album, here’s their first release and it’s called “Find Me.”
Katy Perry – Wide Awake
You would want Katy Perry to stick to her dance-pop and expressive songs with upbeat music; but not this time. For a couple of releases, Perry offered similar sounds and now we finally have something different and it could also be taken as a divorce-inspired angst pop anthem.
Featured from the deluxe edition of “Teenage Dream,” the single is called “Wide Awake.” The track is very well delivered and the monster chorus is absolutely mesmerizing. You need to listen to it to know what we’re talking about.
Will.I.Am, featuring Eva Simons – This Is Love
“This Is Love” is a song from Will.i.am’s upcoming fourth solo album, #willpower, and he’s another rapper who’s been dearly trying his hands on singing and he’s getting better. It’s so in part because he’s also taking help from that monstrous software – autotune. Also featuring Eva Simons, “This is Love” is a fun track to listen to.
Here are some more brand-new releases to check out:
• Matchbox Twenty – She’s So Mean
• Florence & the Machine – Spectrum (Say My Name)
• Ne-Yo – Lazy Love
