In another quarterfinal, Golden Gate beat Capital College and Research Center (CCRTC) 68-48 as Bishal Gurung netted 23 points for the winning team. Along with these two teams, defending champion National Campus and White House also confirmed their places in the semifinal. National thrashed NASA 57-39 as Bikash Gurung and Saswat Singh netted 16 points apiece. In other quarterfinal, White House registered a hard fought 37-35 win over Navajivan.
White House will meet National while Golden Gate ´A´ will lock horns with host Bagmati in the semifinals. In the girls´ section, defending champion NASA qualified for the semifinal. NASA overcame Nobel 39-28.
Madhyapur victorious
KATHMANDU: Madhyapur Youth Association registered 1-0 win over Kathmandu Club on Friday in the ongoing Martyrs Memorial Red Bull B Division Football League. In the match played at ANFA ground, Satdobato, Bivek Pratap Pant´s lone goal in the 29th minute turned to be the decider. Similarly, in the Super League of Red Bull C Division District League held in Dang, Pragatisil SamajiK Club edged past Belgachhi Youth Club 1-0.
Raj Kumar Koirala scored the only goal for Pragatisil. In the second match of the day, a solitary goal from Binod KC in the fourth minute guided UNBC to a 1-0 win over Belgachhi Youth Club. In the B division district league that kicked off at Lahan, Kasturi Youth Club thrashed Mai Valley Sporting Club 4-0. Tarani Prashad Chaudhary netted twice and Dipen Chaudhary and Sabir Chaudhary scored one each in Kasturi´s victory.
