21 succumb to COVID-19 on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, September 7: As many as 21 people succumbed to COVID-19 on Tuesday. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 10,879.

KATHMANDU, September 7: As many as 21 people succumbed to COVID-19 on Tuesday. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 10,879. 


Similarly, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) recorded 1,677 new cases of COVID-19 along with 2,072 recoveries on Tuesday.

A total of 15,034 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Tuesday. Of them, 1,423 PCR tests and 254 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.


There are currently 30,303 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 28,314 are in home isolation, 1,989 in institutional isolation, 514 in ICUs and 154 on ventilators. Similarly, 258 are living in quarantine facilities.


Meanwhile, Kathmandu Valley recorded 519 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 364 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 66 in Bhaktapur and 89 in Lalitpur districts.
