The selected players are Jhom Bahadur Thapa, Saroj Shrestha, Prem Bahadur Shahi and Sanjay Aryal of Nepal Police; Kailashdutt Bhattarai, Sunil Kumar Shrestha and Dipendra Bhatta of APF; Bhola KC of Nepal Army and Roman Shrestha of Central Region.
Likewise, Im Bahadur Magar, Bharat Bahadur Shah and Ramananda Singh of Nepal Police; Khushi Chaudhary of APF and Tahal Singh Thapa of Western Region were also selected.
Twelve players will be selected in the final round. Two players will be eliminated from the list of the first nine players while the remaining will be in the team, according to Nepal Volleyball Association.
SEB, Newton´s winning start in volleyball
KATHMANDU, Nov 27: Hosts Samakhushi English Boarding School (SEB) and Newton began their campaigns on a triumphant note during the Fifth SEB Inter School Valley-wide Volleyball Championship on Friday.
SEB A defeated Kamana 25-10, 27-29, 25-7 while Newton ousted SEB C 25-16, 25-15 in the boys´ matches. Likewise, Venus beat SEB B 25-12, 18-25, 25-20 and Angel Heart 25-19, 24-16, 25-14.
Deep Jyoti B edged past SEB C 25-21, 25-10 and Nightingale defeated Deep Jyoti A 25-20, 25-14 while SEB B struggled past Angel Heart 25-21, 18-25, 25-17.
In the girls´ category, SEB A defeated Venus 25-15, 25-13 while New Diamond won Angel Heart 25-21, 25-8.
