492 players selected from Far West for 7th National Games

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Dec 15: Of the total 4,029 players across the country vying in 35 games during the forthcoming 7th National Games to be held in Biratnagar, Morang, 492 players have been selected from the Far Western Region.

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Dec 15: Of the total 4,029 players across the country vying in 35 games during the forthcoming 7th National Games to be held in Biratnagar, Morang, 492 players have been selected from the Far Western Region. 



The national sports event is taking place from December 22 to 30 in six districts of Eastern Region including Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa among other locations of the Eastern Development Region of the country. 



The Far Western Regional Sports Development Committee, Kailali has named the players, both male and female, who will be competing in 21 games. 



Committee's Chief Prem Mall told RSS that altogether 600 people, including 492 players, will participate in the event representing Far West. 



Players of various games such as cricket, karate, taekwondo, volleyball and football among others have been picked from Kailali, Kanchanpur, Dadheldhura, Achham, Bajhang and Bajura in the region. 



Malla also shared that name list of the selected players will be sent to the Secretariat of the 7th National Games Competition. 



According to him, the National Sports Council had released around Rs 10.6 million to select the players. RSS
