The friend I left behind

The friend I left behind

People come and go in life,

Some suffer, some go on to thrive.

But you? you were supposed to stay,

You were supposed to be the one I gossiped

 with, while we watch our children play.

 

There wasn't a chapter in my life where you weren't by my side,

But now that I have everything you’re the only one I can't find,

So, this is for the friend I had to leave behind.

 

You were my the end,

You were supposed to be my only friend

But Now, there is always an empty space

That was once yours to fill,

My life is fantastic, but I have no one

To share the thrill

 

But it's ok, I say 

Because In case you are ever lost,

There’s always a place for  you to 

Stay.
