Writ petition filed against shifting Tribhuvan's bust

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court demanding not to remove the bust of late King Tribhuvan from Shahid Gate.



Advocate Kamalesh Dwevedi and Galab Bista, a resident of Kathmandu metropolis, filed the writ petition, saying the removal of the bust of Tribhuvan was a ploy to efface history which has given due respect to the late Tribhuvan to the level of martyrs.[break]



The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Education and Sports, Home Ministry and the Narayanhiti Durbar Museum have been named as defendants in the writ.
