KATHMANDU, Sept 24: United World Trade Center (UWTC) at Tripureshwar has announced opening of new stores before Dashain and a six-day long Dashain Mega Sale from Tuesday in order to make shopping easier for customers.
During the Dashain Mega Sale, the stores in the UWTC will offer discounts of up to 60 percent on products like readymade garments, winter wears, shoes, bags, accessories and home appliances, among others. [break]
"The sale is targeted at those customers who have limited budget. The stores will offer quality products at affordable prices," said Sandip Hirachan, managing director of UWTC. The mall decided to organize the sale, instead of other schemes, as it benefits all the shoppers. The shopping complex has arranged around 40 stalls on the ground floor for the stores in the mall to participate in the Mega Sale.
Swoyambhu Ratna Shakya, proprietor of Top Collection Center, a shoe store, said that the sale will help to increase business, facilitate stock clearance as well to introduce new products. "The customers will get shoes worth Rs 700 to Rs 4,000 at a discounted rate of Rs 300 to Rs 1,000 during the sale," added Shakya.
Likewise, new stores of branded shoes and ladies wear, a generator store, a furniture store and a Thakali restaurant would also be launched coinciding with the sale.
“The stores of branded shoes, ladies wear and generator will open before Dashain. Furniture store and Thakali restaurant will open from November 16,” said Hirachan. Fabulous Girls, ladies apparel store, Fabulous Shoes, branded shoe store, Power Plus, a generator store, and Istikbal, a Turkish furniture store, will be opened at the ground floor, while the Thakali restaurant will be opened on the first floor.
Istikbal, which has its branches in 156 countries across the globe, will be a complete home furnishing destination as customers will get all types of furniture, beddings and interior decorating materials, among other items.
According to Hirachan, UWTC itself will be operating the Thakali restaurant in an area of 3500 square feet. “We have invested around Rs 6 million for the restaurant so far,” said Hirachan. The name of the restaurant has not been fixed yet.
UWTC expects around 25,000 to visit the complex during the sale.
