DHANGADHI, April 19: A teenage boy drowned in the Katani stream in Rampur, Kailari Rural Municipality-2 of the Kailali district in Sudurpaschim, on Tuesday.
According to the Kailali District Police Office Spokesperson DSP Kuldeep Chand, the deceased has been identified as Abhishek Thakulla, 16, a local.

He was bathing when he drowned in the stream, according to the police.
The victim’s body has been kept at the Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi, for a post-mortem.
Of late, children drowning has become a regular affair in Nepal due to the lack of safety measures, insufficient recognition of the problem, and children’s inability to swim, among other reasons.
