Thapa drowned while swimming in the canal. He and his friends had plunged into the Mahakali River irrigation canal for swimming on the way home after attending tuition classes[break]
Locals and police found Thapa´s body in the canal after a two-hour search after his friends reported that he had drowned. The body has been sent to the Mahakali Zonal Hospital for post-mortem, police said.
