Service seekers hit hard for no office chiefs

KHOTANG, Jan 27: Service recipients coming to the district headquarters for different services have been hit hard in absence of chiefs of 13 offices in the district.

The service seekers are in trouble when 13 offices in the district have been without chiefs for the past two weeks.


Service recipients have complained that they ave been hit hard when the office chiefs left the district for seminar and training and on house leave.

As some of the office chiefs are from Madhesi origin they have left the district to join agitation in Madhes, sources claimed.

Along with office chiefs the second and third ranked employees are also absent in the offices since long.

According to the source, Local Development Officer, in-charges of Electricity Authority, Education Office, Health Office, District Technical Office, Nepal Telecom, Election Office, Planning and Administrative Officer at the District Development Committee and Executive Officer of Diktel municipality have been in outside the district for the past couple of weeks.

The preparation of organizing area councils and contracts signing with users committees has been affected in absence of senior officials in the concerned offices.

Likewise, most of the VDC secretaries are also in outside the district. RSS
