Second win for AIWTC

KATHMANDU, April 5: Visiting All India Women's T20 Cricket Association (AIWTC) registered second win in a row on Tuesday in the First Indo-Nepal Women's Cricket Tournament being held at the Pulchowk Engineering College ground in Lalitpur. AIWTC registered a thumping 89-run win over departmental giant Armed Police Force on Tuesday.

Put to bat first after losing the toss, AWTCA was bowled out for 231 runs in 48.2 overs. Pooja Nimavat reached second consecutive half century for the visiting AWTCA while Babita Meena also reached the milestone. Pooja scored 50 runs off 64 balls while Pooja scored 56 runs off 77 balls, the highest score for the visiting side. Shivpriya Pandey contributed 26-run-a-ball.Rubina Chhetry claimed four wickets followed by three wickets of Karuna Bhandari and two of Sita Rana Magar.

In the run chase, APF was bowled out for 142 runs in 34.1 over despite Sita Rana Magar contributing 59 runs for the departmental team. Sita faced 65 deliveries. Binu Buda Magar scored 13 runs. AIWTC's Shivpriya pocketed five wickets and Pooja claimed two wickets.

Earlier on Sunday, AIWTC had defeated host Rising Cricket for Women by 125runs.
