The club which secured place at the top tire football for the second time on 2066 BS also honored its players who featured from the club on past and exchanged the good wishes of Dipawali festival.
Thapa said that the company had sponsored the club for its effort on social change and development. "Saraswati Club is not only the club of Koteshwar as this place has already become a home for people from across the nation," Thapa said. "Every well wishers should provide financial support to the club for its development. The club should not only work for the development of football but also to motivate youths."
Along with the sponsorship, Simrik became the third airline company to sponsor a football team of Nepal. Earlier, Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation and Yeti Airlines had sponsored football teams.
According to the club president Sikshit Parajuli, the club has raised Rs 1.7 million from its well wishers. Parajuli said the club had planned special training for the A division league. On the occasion, the club felicitated 45 players who played for the team in A, B and C division.
Speaking on the occasion, Rabindra Man Shrestha, the president of Nepal Professional Golfers Association said that the club should also come up with better performance in coming days.
"The club could get sponsors gradually if it comes up with impressive results in the A division football," Shrestha opined.
