Regional security chiefs' meeting begins

DHANKUTA, July 31: A meeting of the security chiefs of 16 districts in the eastern region began at Bhedetar, Dhankuta from Tuesday with a view to charting out a future strategy on security in the region.



The meeting is also expected to review the security situation of the region to date.



Opening the meeting, Eastern Regional Administrator Dr Krishna Chandra Poudel urged the security agencies to always consider the interest of the nation and people while performing their duty and remain alert of maintaining professional integrity.



The meeting will run for two days, according to Police Inspector Nabin Kishor Pradhan of District Police Office, Dhankuta.
