KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Quest Entertainment - one of the leading movie producers and theater operators -- has said that it is soon promoting its exhibition business under the brand of QFX in a bid to establish theater business as an independent and distinct segment of the movie industry.

“The brand will be formally launched with the inception of Quest Entertainment"s first multiplex, Central Cinema at Sundhara, Kathmandu,” Nabin Joshi, brand consultant for the QFX Entertainment, said. [break]

He told myrepublica.com that the QFX will function as the brand name of Quest and will represent its exhibition business. Currently, Quest"s exhibition business includes operation of two theaters -- Kumari and Jaya Nepal. It is also planning to inaugurate its third venture -- Central Cinema - very soon.

The company said the branding is a part of its initiative to meet public demand for quality service and offer value added entertainment service.

Quest has established its own niche market in the Kathmandu Valley as an entertainment company over the 10 years of its operations. The company is engaged in activities like film production, distribution and exhibition.

“We believe the branding exercise will help establish distinctness of exhibition business and support in its promotion,” Joshi said, adding that QFX is a typically Nepali brand which has no affiliation with any foreign movie exhibition company.
