RAUTAHAT, July 20: An assistant Sub-Inspector(ASI) on Friday has been arrested on the charge of raping a 20-year-old woman in Rautahat district.
A resident of Mahagadhimai in Bara district, ASI Rajendra Shah who has been working in District Police Office in Makwanpur district was arrested by the team of police personnel from Area Police Office in Chandranigahpur from the hotel on Saturday.
Three arrested on the charge of rape in Bajura
On July 16, 2019, Shah raped a 20-year-old woman in the Mount Area Guest House based in Chandra Nigahpur of Rautahat district, according to the police involved in the probe into the alleged rape.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Shah has been taken to the District Court of Gaur on the charge of rape and has given five days of extension, DSP Kabit Katuwal of Area Police Office based in Chandranigahpur said.
