Police destroys cannabis in Siraha

SIRAHA, Dec 29: Police have destroyed the cannabis plants plated by locals at Mirchaiya Municipality-1 in Siraha district.

Police destroyed the cannabis plants in two bigha of land at Rampur area of the Municipality.


After the reports of increased cannabis farming, the District Police Office has taken tough actions against cannabis farmers, DSP Shyam Singh Chaudhary said.

Some days ago, Siraha police destroyed 2,000 plus cannabis plants in different parts of the district.

The District Police Office has launched the campaign after the increased cannabis farming by the farmers in the district, taking advantages of ongoing strike in the Tarai region and police concentration along the highways. RSS
