People donate warm clothes for quake-hit families

KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Following media reports that earthquake victims have been battling cold weather without warm clothes, people from various walks of life have joined hands to donate warm clothes to those in need.



As part of their "Blanket for Humanity" initiation, the students of the British College collected enough funds to buy more than 60 blankets that were distributed to the elderly people in Ryale of Kavre.

Similarly, Bibeksheel Nepali Party donated warm clothes to the earthquake victims in Shankharapur municipality of Kathmandu. The party donated 167 blankets to earthquake-hit families.


Among them were 67 students of Shila Devi Primary Schools and 107 senior citizens. Issuing a press statement, the party stated that the donation was collected in collaboration with the Hope Nepal Foundation, a non-government organization.


People willing to donate warm clothes can drop the items at Swotha Kiosk Shop, Swotha in Patan, Jatra Café and Bar, Thamel or the ISARD Office in Buddha Nagar.
