NRB releases silver coin with statesman's portrait

KATHMANDU, March 18: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) today launched a commemorative coin depicting a portrait of statesman Ganeshman Singh, the first of its kind.

Coinciding with freedom fighter Singh's birth centenary, the NRB issued the silver coin with the leader's portrait at a joint programme organised by the NRB and the Ganeshman Singh Foundation in the capital city.The NRB Governor, Dr Chiranjibi Nepal, made public the silver coin and spoke of Singh's contributions in Nepal's democratic uprising while adding that the coin was issued in the late leader's honour.

Foundation's Chairman, Prakashman Singh, said no one should forget the leader's contributions who fought for the people. RSS
