JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 27: The players of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) title-winning team, Janakpur Bolts, received a warm and grand welcome in their hometown of Janakpur. The Dhanusha Cricket Association organized a felicitations ceremony at the Ram Janaki Multi-Purpose International Stadium in Rajaul on Friday to honor the champions.
Following the ceremony, the players, holding the trophy, participated in a parade around the city starting from the Ram Janaki Stadium. Madhesh Province Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh joined the celebration, riding along with the players in the parade vehicle.

Thousands of supporters gathered to cheer for their local heroes during the procession, which made its way through various parts of the city. The players were given a rousing reception at several key points, including a special welcome at the major thoroughfares of Janakpur.
The players, who arrived in Janakpur on Thursday evening, are scheduled to complete their tour of the city and reach the Janaki Temple later today, according to Shobha Kant Pandey (Guddu), president of the Dhanusha Cricket Association.
In the NPL final, Janakpur Bolts triumphed over Sudurpaschim Royals by five wickets to claim the title.
