KATHMANDU, Feb 21: The 15th meeting of the Patan Academy of Health Sciences assembly, chaired by Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli, held at the Prime Minister's Residence in Baluwatar, approved the budget, programs, and plans of the academy for the current fiscal year 2024/25.
The meeting also approved the decision to submit the academy’s multi-year master plan, previously approved by the foundation’s ninth assembly, to the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Health and Population for implementation.

At the meeting. Prof Dr Brahma Dev Jha was nominated as a member of the assembly on the recommendation of the Executive Council.
The meeting directed that the proposal to increase salaries and allowances by five percent for officials, teachers, and employees from internal sources be further studied and discussed before being presented.
PM Oli emphasized that decisions should align with laws and regulations and instructed that the Senate meeting be held on time to approve the annual budget and programs. He clarified that decisions with long-term economic impacts could not be approved without due consideration.
